Rental Policies & Agreement Terms and Conditions
RESERVATIONS: At time of booking we require a $300.00 deposit to hold the booking which will become part of the rental cost. Balance of rental payment to be processed 14 days prior to rental start date and becomes non-refundable at that time.
PAYMENT: All payments may be made by cheque, cash, visa, mastercard, or interact e-transfer. 24 hours prior to possession, a $400 preauthorization will be taken as a damage deposit. This will be cancelled when the trailer is returned clean, undamaged and contents complete.
CANCELLATION: If reservation is cancelled prior to 45 days of rental date there is a full refund less $100.00 cancellation fee. If cancelled 44 – 15 days prior, loss of $300.00 deposit. 14 days or less full rental payment is non-refundable.
INSURANCE: All trailers are insured by ICBC. Damage not covered by insurance will be accountable by renter. All damage repairs must be preauthorized by K-Jack RV Rentals.
AWNINGS: Awnings are to be used with extreme care. In moderate or heavy winds, when you are absent, or during the night, awnings should be retracted for your safety. Awnings can be damaged very easily: keep all fires well clear. If it is raining, tilt one corner lower than the other to allow for run-off. NOTE: If the awning is deployed at the time of delivery or by the renter, then it is recognized that the renter has agreed to accept all responsibility for the awning.
SINKS: Most RV sinks and fixtures are made of plastic. Do not put hot pots or hot items in the sinks that may melt the plastic.
FURNITURE: Beds, couches, dinettes, and tables folded down to beds are not to be jumped on by any member of rental party. The furniture is meant for sitting or sleeping and will not stand up to harsh treatment.
AIR CONDITIONING: It is important not to over use the A/C. If operating please close windows and vents. If you are absent turn the A/C off. Excess use will ice up the unit and cause it to be inoperable.
HOLDING TANKS: Holding tanks are to be regularly monitored and drained and flushed as required. Supplied chemicals must be used as directed. Failure to drain and flush these tanks will require a $35.00 fee for K-Jack RV Rentals to do so. Deliveries to non-hookup parks will automatically be charged the holding tank fee. HOLDING TANK VALVES MUST REMAIN CLOSED DURING USE OF THE TRAILER UNTIL NEEDED TO BE OPENED FOR DRAINING AND FLUSHING. BE SURE TO CLOSE TANK VALVES AFTER FLUSHING.
WINDOW BLINDS: Pleated blinds and venetian blinds must be handled with extreme care by adults only. Please use two hands to extend and retract pleated blinds. Renter will be charged $100.00 for repair and replacement of any damaged blinds.
SMOKING: Absolutely NO smoking of any kind in or near the trailers. This will result in a $250.00 cleaning fee. Cannabis is to be stored in personal vehicle only and not in the trailer.
BATTERIES: Batteries have been checked and are fully charged at time of possession. If the gas or carbon monoxide (CO 2) detector alarm is sounding every 20 seconds or the fridge shuts down, this is due to batteries being drained to a low level. Call or email K-Jack RV Rentals and leave a message. We will replace batteries at the local parks for a cost of $50.00 at the end of the business day or as soon as possible. Reservations at non-hookup sites of 3 nights or more require the rental of a generator. Generators are to maintain batteries only!
CLEANING: Trailers are to be returned in the same condition as received. Wash the dishes and utensils and store. All countertops, sinks, microwave, tub, shower, toilet, fridge, oven, stove tops, and barbeque must be left clean and ready for use. We will supply liquid cleaner which must be used. It is agreed that if the trailer is returned in poor condition an extra charge of $100.00 will be deducted from your deposit.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT: Check in will occur between 2 pm and 6 pm unless previously arranged. Check out time is no later than 10 am. If leaving prior to 10 am please inform K-Jack RV Rentals with enough time to allow for pick-up of the unit. This will ensure that the trailer is not left unattended. If we are unable to meet at the time of delivery renters are to call the office upon their arrival for instructions, or to arrange for orientation of the rental unit.
PROPANE:A 20 lb propane bottle can be provided for the campfire and the refill cost will be charged to the renter.
Propane tanks provided on the trailer are for the trailer use only and are not to be tampered with or
removed for any other reason such as propane campfires. Tanks are weighed and recorded prior to each
rental. Off season rentals – propane is to be replaced at renter’s cost.
